National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month

There are many good things going on to prevent human trafficking around the world. A branch off from Oasis, Stop the Traffik, continues to promote fair trade foods and is now working on turning chocolate industries to keep those who pick the cocoa beans employed and treated fairly.

The Invisible Children works to pull children out of forced warfare and provide shelter, safety, education, and an alternative lifestyle to that of the Lord's Resistance Army.

With Obama's big words and proclaimation of this new month, I hope and pray that there be action to follow.
